How we sort & pack (our quality standard)

The biggest trust factor in wholesale used clothing is not “nice words” — it’s process. Here’s what happens before a box leaves our warehouse:

1) Incoming control

We receive incoming batches from our sourcing channels and perform a first check for:

  • overall condition,
  • composition of the stream,
  • obvious waste / non-sellable items.

2) Category sorting

We sort clothing into product categories such as:

  • women / men / children,
  • seasonal mixes (Spring–Summer, Autumn–Winter),
  • special categories (e.g., Vintage, Cream, etc. — depending on current availability).

3) Quality screening (what gets removed)

During sorting we remove items that are clearly non-sellable, for example:

  • heavily damaged pieces,
  • items with strong, persistent odor,
  • unusable textiles or waste.

Important: Minor imperfections can still occur (used clothing reality). Our goal is to deliver boxes that are resale-oriented and aligned with the declared category.

4) Weighing & packing

Each box is packed after sorting and weighed.

  • Declared weight: 20 kg
  • Weight tolerance: 0.2 kg / per box

Boxes are taped and prepared for transport in a way that protects contents and supports safe logistics.

5) Dispatch with tracking

We send your order with a carrier selected for your destination and provide tracking information.

What you will receive in a typical box

This is the part most wholesalers avoid writing clearly. We prefer transparency.

Depending on the category you purchase, you can generally expect:

  • A sealed box with declared weight 20 kg
  • A mix of pieces consistent with the chosen category (women/men/kids/season etc.)
  • A natural variety in: styles, brands, sizes (unless you order a size-focused category, if available).

What we do not promise (to stay fair and honest)

  • We do not guarantee a fixed brand list per box unless explicitly stated.
  • We do not guarantee an exact number of items (weight-based wholesale varies by garment type).
  • We do not claim “zero defects” — we reduce defects through sorting, but used clothing can include minor imperfections.

This approach protects you from unrealistic expectations — and protects us from misleading claims. It’s better for long-term cooperation.

Where our stock comes from

Our used clothing originates mainly from Scandinavian countries and Western Europe. We focus on supply streams that are well-suited for resale—clean, wearable items with strong sell-through potential.

We avoid vague promises and keep it practical: used clothing is never “factory-new”, but the sourcing and sorting process makes the difference in what ends up in your boxes.

What “Cream”, “Vintage”, and “First Grade” mean (clear definitions)

Different wholesalers use different definitions. Here is how we describe our categories on SortedClothes.eu — so you know what you’re buying.

CREAM

A premium selection intended for resale with a strong visual appeal. Typically:

  • very good overall condition,
  • minimal signs of wear,
  • attractive styles and better sell-through potential.

VINTAGE

A selection focused on vintage-inspired or older styles. Typically:

  • unique pieces, cuts, patterns, and retro aesthetics,
  • mix of decades/styles (depends on supply),
  • condition can vary more than Cream — but pieces are chosen for resale value.

FIRST GRADE / RESALE-ORIENTED

A practical standard for regular resale:

  • wearable items suitable for thrift/online selling,
  • normal used-clothing characteristics possible,
  • non-sellable waste removed in sorting.

If you need a stricter or looser standard (depending on your business model), tell us — we’ll recommend the right category and manage expectations upfront.
